COMMENT LA PANDÉMIE M’AI PERMIS DE RENOUER AVEC LE MATCHA
La pandémie que nous vivons présentement a été, et est encore pour certains, une source de stress. Lorsque mon stage final, qui concluait mon baccalauréat en enseignement au secondaire, a été interrompu, j’étais parmi les milliers de personnes pour qui ce soudain arrêt de travail a été synonyme d’anxiété. Entre les études et les emplois étudiants, je n’étais pas habituée à avoir autant de temps libre. Cet arrêt forcé m’a cependant permis de renouer avec l’habitude de commencer mes journées avec un bol de matcha bio. Alors que je réservais habituellement ce moment aux fins de semaines, synonymes de temps libres, j’ai pu commencer à l’intégrer à ma routine quotidienne, sans contrainte de temps. Dès les premières gorgées, je me sentais plus éveillée et alerte, prête à commencer une belle journée, peu importe l’heure et les défis qui se présentaient.
Avec la reprise graduelle des services, j’ai recommencé à travailler dans mon domaine, mais à partir de chez moi : cela m’a permis de continuer d’intégrer facilement ma consommation de matcha dans ma routine matinale et ainsi de profiter de la dose d’énergie pour toute la journée que cette boisson procure. Moi qui n’ai jamais été «lève-tôt», je prévoyais désormais suffisamment de temps avant de commencer ma journée de travail pour profiter bien tranquillement de mon matcha et de ses bienfaits. Puis, avec la réouverture des écoles, j’ai obtenu un contrat ailleurs et ai conservé cette habitude. Bien que se lever suffisamment tôt soit parfois encore une décision difficile, il me semble cependant impossible de commencer la journée du bon pied si je n’ai pas mon matcha bio à mon réveil !
Ainsi, contre toutes attentes, la pandémie m’a permis de renouer avec de bonnes habitudes de vie en me permettant de recommencer à prendre le temps d’avoir un moment pour moi avant d’affronter la journée.

HOW THE PANDEMIC ALLOWED ME TO RECONNET WITH MATCHA
The pandemic we are currently experiencing has defenitely been a source of stress. When my final internship to finish my bachelor’s degree in high school education was interrupted, I was among thousands of people for whom this immediate stop of work was a synonym of anxiety. Between studies and student jobs, I wasn’t used to having so much free time. This force stop, however, allowed me to reconnect with the habit of starting my days with a bowl of organic matcha. While I usually take this moment for weekends, which is a synonym of free time, I was able to start making it part of my daily routine without time constraints. From the first sip, I felt more awake and alert, ready to start a great day, no matter the time and the challenges there were.
With the gradual resumption of services, I started working in my field again, but from home: this allowed me to continue to easily integrate my consumption of matcha into my morning routine and to take advantage of the dose of energy for the whole day. I, who have never been an « early bird », now planning enough time before starting my day of work to quietly enjoy my matcha and its benefits. Then, with the schools reopening, I got a contract elsewhere and kept that habit. Although getting up early enough can still be difficult, it still seems impossible to start the day on the right foot if I don’t have my organic matcha when I wake up!
So, surprisingly, the pandemic allowed me to reconnect with good lifestyle habits in me, allowing me to start taking the moment for myself before kicking off the day.
