Description
The leaves of this green tea are roasted at high temperature, which gives it a coffee colour and a pleasant nutty flavour. Due to the roasting process, Hojicha is very low in caffeine. This tea is perfect with meals and great to drink in the evening.
Preparation
1) Put 1 teaspoon (about 5g) of tea in a tea bowl.
2) Pour 60ml of 85 degree hot water into the bowl.
3) Whisk the tea either with tea whisk (chasen) fouet à thé (chasen).
